ABOUT MYLES SILTON
Myles Silton provides transactional legal services to individuals, startups, established companies, influencers and celebrity clients. He is a published author and sought-after panelist and lecturer. He provides thoughtful, creative and practical counsel to thoughtful, innovative and creative people and companies.
Myles has been advising clients on intellectual property, technology, media, e-commerce, branding, licensing, consumer product, and entertainment matters for nearly three decades. He has vast, innovative and effective legal expertise and is a trusted advisor to c-suite and other top management. He has a proven track-record structuring, negotiating and drafting complex commercial agreements. Myles's licensing and branding work has facilitated hundreds of millions of dollars in product sales worldwide, from sophisticated software and hardware to a wide array of consumer goods, books, apparel, mobile apps and games, wine and spirits, cannabis/cbd, online gaming, and high-end luxury products. His experience at both law firms and as in-house counsel has provided Myles both a wide-range of experience and a unique perspective.
Myles has worked on major brand initiatives for KISS, AC/DC, Madonna, The Beatles, Aerosmith, Britney Spears, Céline Dion, Barbra Streisand, The Zac Brown Band, *NSYC, G-Dragon, Red Velvet, Fleetwood Mac, and the Estates of David Bowie, John Lennon and Jimi Hendrix, among many others.
Myles is an internet pioneer who forged innovative deals and agreements for clients such as: Women.com; NBCi; PlanetOut; E-Greetings; Third Age Media; Hungry Minds; Scientific Learning; and Embark.com. He has represented emerging and established companies in the following markets, among others: Internet and e-commerce; content development, publication and licensing; software (both business- and consumer-oriented); computer games; computer hardware; integrated circuitry; telecom; and business and consumer electronics.
Myles received his JD from the University of Pennsylvania School of law, where he was awarded an Equal Justice Foundation Scholarship for his work with Lambda Legal Defense. He holds a BA in English Literature from Cornell University, where he was a research assistant to Pulitzer Prize-winning author Alison Lurie. He studied apparel design at Parsons School of Design. Myles has been a speaker at SXSW as well as a moderator and panelist at a variety of ABA-sponsored events. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Myles worked in publishing at St. Martin's Press, public relations at Ruder Finn and higher education at both Parsons School of Design and NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, all in New York City. Myles was born and raised in tnew York City and its suburbs and has lived in California for over 20 years.
